Join us to celebrate the release of Public Art’s monograph, On Site: 50 Years of Public Art of the University of Houston System.

The event will spotlight the breadth of the Public Art UHS collection and its diversity of offerings, as showcased in the monograph and reflect back on the last 50 years of while setting the stage for the next stage. A presentation by María C. Gaztambide, Director and Chief Curator, will frame a panel discussion with Nancy Hixon, former assistant director of Blaffer Art Museum (then Blaffer Gallery) and long-time Public Art administrator; Floyd Newsum, artist and Professor of Art at University of Houston-Downtown; and Clint Willour, noted area curator and arts administrator. Michael Guidry, Public Art UHS Curator, will lead discussion.
On Site will be available for sale before and after the event, and a book signing with the authors will follow.
