Director and Chief Curator to speak at the MFAH’s Symposium “Contesting Modernity: Art and Politics in Mid-Century Venezuela” on Oct. 27th.

Public Art UHS // 10.16.18: María Gaztambide, director and chief curator, will be contributing to the Museum of Fine Art-Houston’s Symposium “Contesting Modernity: Art and Politics in Mid-Century Venezuela” on October 27th from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. These presentations will explore the Informalist movement in Venezuela and mark the opening of the exhibition Contesting Modernity: Informalism in Venezuela, 1955-1975.
