The University of Houston-Downtown is located in downtown Houston, near I-10 and Buffalo Bayou. UHD is home to nearly 60 pieces of the Public Art Collection, which can be found scattered between six of this urban campus’ buildings. Artists represented at UHD include John Biggers, Floyd Newsum, Jacob Hashimoto, Nancy Graves, Trenton Doyle Hancock, George Smith and Bert Samples. Parking can be found at UHD parking garage (located at 201 Girard St., Houston, TX 77002) or the City of Houston’s metered parking lot under I-10 (located across Girard Street). In addition, METRO operates a light rail line that stops on Main Street in front of UHD’s campus.
