University Programs
Art is All Around Us! Public Art is a pillar of academic and student life at the UH System campuses. Our university programs offer opportunities to engage directly with artworks and artists through tours, workshops, public programs, and hands-on learning.
Whether you are faculty interested in adding public art to your syllabus or a student club leader looking to schedule a tour for your group, please reach out! E-mail us at pauhsEDU@uh.edu or fill out our Group Visit Request Form.
We also offer a limited number of work-study positions, academic internships and paid graduate assistantships for UH System students on a semester and yearly basis. Please view our Opportunities page or send an e-mail to pauhsEDU@uh.edu to inquire about available positions.
Object Laboratory
Public Art UHS and the University of Houston’s School of Art jointly run an Object Laboratory where emerging art historians, curators, museum professionals and others interested in visual and material culture learn best practices in object handling, recording, digitization and analysis.
