Influenced by Pop art, Fluxus and Arte Povera, Souza’s interests lie in creating work from non-traditional materials. Made from numerous fragmented jigsaw puzzles, he created this “painting” that functions as a painting should but lacks any of the common material. Souza was a painting professor at UH from 1991-2013.
