Join us to celebrate the debut of Starship, by student artist Ashley Anika Herndon.
Starship, selected via public vote as the featured artwork for The Billboard for 2026, is the latest temporary public artwork to be installed in the University Arts District and on campus.

Ashley Anika Herndon is an MFA candidate at the University of Houston whose work blends figuration, myth-making, and emotional futurism. She works in drawing and painting to build worlds where her figures are central
PARKING
Paid parking for visitors to campus is available at Elgin Street Studios, located at 4224 Elgin Street. The Garage is located a 5-10 minute walk from the workshop location in the University Arts Distict.
Pay-by-text visitor parking is available across campus. Payment can be made via credit card and cash. Current visitor parking rates are available on the UH Visitor Parking Rates page
