Studio Workshop: Mosaics with The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art

Saturday, March 23rd | 2:00 – 4:00pm

Join mosaic artists John Gregory and Toni Vanzant for a hands-on workshop. Gregory and Vazant’s mosaics are on view in Houston’s Smither Park, a part of the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art.

This workshop is free and open to the public, but please RSVP to secure your spot. Basic mosaic materials and tools are provided (you are also welcome to bring your own to use).

PARKING 

Complimentary parking vouchers are provided for guests who park at the Elgin Street Garage, located at 4224 Elgin St, Houston, TX 77004. These vouchers will be distributed at the workshop. To park, please enter the garage through the designated VISITORS entrance on the west side. You can find a pin guiding you to this entrance via Entrance 18 here. To redeem your voucher when exiting, insert your entrance ticket into the machine first, then scan or insert the voucher as form of payment. Additional metered parking is available in lot 16B, directly across the street from Wilhelmina’s Grove. However, vouchers are not available for this location.

Pay-by-text visitor parking is available across campus. Payment can be made via credit card and cash. Current visitor parking rates are available on the UH Visitor Parking Rates page

 

 

WALKING DIRECTIONS 

Upon parking at the Elgin Street Garage, exit and head west towards the Blaffer Art Museum. The workshop will be held in Wilhelmina’s Grove courtyard, adjacent to the museum.
