First Friday Art Tour

Join us for a First Friday Tour at the Blaffer to explore Tania Candiani: Lifeblood and Intimate confessions is a project featuring “Museum Stand-in: Iris Touliatou” and Tour & Sketching at Jorge Pardo’s Folly with Public Art of the University of Houston System (Public Art UHS).

Meet at Blaffer Art Museum and join us for an afternoon of exploration and creativity.
12:00-1:00pm, Explore Tania Candiani: Lifeblood and Intimate Confessions is a project , with a special feature on the work of Iris Touliatou entiled “Museum Stand-in.” The conversational tour will give you a glimpse of both exhibitions. Docent Megan Randall will guide you through the spaces to discover the methods, collaborations, and motivations behind the works on display.
1:00pm Afterwards, stay for conversation and lunch (on us!).
1:30-2:30pm, Tour & Sketching at Jorge Pardo’s Folly. Meet at the Blaffer and take a short stroll to Wilhelmina’s Grove to Join Public Art of the University of Houston System (Public Art UHS) for a guided tour followed by drop-in plein air sketching in Wilhelmina’s Grove. All materials are provided.
